A while back, I was listening to an interview with the British boxer Chris Eubank.
He was asked how he manages to motivate himself to train every day. He replied that he has a deal with himself that he’ll train for a minimum of one minute per day. That’s it!
The hardest part is always getting started, whether it’s getting to the gym or starting to write.
So I made a rule for myself. I will write for a minimum of one minute every day.
I know that once I start, I will continue to write for longer than one minute. The one-minute rule is there just to get me started.
And guess what? It works.
