arma is a bitch. Never has that saying been so true as when it’s applied to Brexiteers voting to harm themselves.

Whether you agree with Brexit or not, why would you vote for something that harms you personally? I don’t have any idea what the answer is, but that’s exactly what some people did.

I read this story today and I have to admit that it did make me chuckle a little.

OK, I’ll be honest, I was actually rolling on the floor laughing.

I know it’s not cool to laugh at stupid people, but sometimes I just can’t help myself.

The story is about a man and his wife that are British but spend much of the year living in their caravan in Spain. They say it’s a beautiful place. They love it there. It’s their retirement dream.

If you found your dream retirement home, what would you do? If you’re like me, you’d probably aim to do everything you can to make sure you can live there long term. That’s obvious, right?

So, what did this man and his wife do?

They did the opposite. They voted for Brexit. And, as we know, the UK ended up leaving the UK.

But here’s where karma comes into play. The man and his wife can now only spend 90 days out of every 180 in Spain. However, they want to stay longer. And they don’t want to leave their caravan unattended for 90 days at a time. That’s also the case for most of the residents of the other 650 caravans on the site.

Karma is, indeed, a bitch.

The situation these people now find themselves in was discussed all through the Brexit debate, yet this man claims that no one told him that voting for Brexit would ruin his plans.

So, why did he vote for Brexit without finding out how it may affect him? My guess is that he did know but dismissed the idea. I personally told people of what to expect and they told me it would never happen and that I was just scaremongering. Now they claim no one told them. They are mostly liars. Just like Boris.

He claims that Brexit was going to be brilliant as he claims Britain should be able to be run by British people.

But did he think that Spain shouldn’t be run by Spanish people? Or did he think that the British government could tell Spain how to run their country? On what planet do people like this live?

They love that the UK can restrict how long EU nationals can stay in the UK, but they don’t love it so much that EU countries can restrict how long Brits can stay in the EU. It’s laughable.

It’s hard to imagine just how stupid you have to be to vote to ruin your life. But that’s what many Brits have done. They used to spend much of their time living in other EU countries so were benefiting from the UK’s membership of the EU.

They loved the benefits of membership so much that they voted to leave.

Their lives are ruined. Good. Some people need to learn lessons the hard way.
