If you’re like most people you spend a fair amount of time each day trying to find the secret to becoming a success on Medium. There are so many lessons to learn that it takes up more and more time.

I’m sure you might have read that getting your story into a publication could help your story attract extra views. Is it true though? And if it’s true, which are the best publications to submit your story to?

You now need to take time out of your day to research all of this.

Then there are the tags. Surely some tags are better than others. Which ones should you use? Who knows?

But what niche should you choose? Do you really need to choose just one niche? Can you choose 2, or 3, or even more. Or maybe it’s better to write about everything. Yet more time is needed to put in some research to find that elusive secret to making it on Medium.

And then there are headlines to consider. You need to choose a great ones to help your stories get noticed. And a great image. So much to learn. So little time to do it.

You also need to figure out how many others you should follow. How can you get more followers? There must be some hidden secret to getting them. If only you knew. All the top writers have a ton of followers. How did they get them? What’s their secret?

With all this time you need to put in looking for the secret to a successful writing career, you barely have enough time to even write any stories. Maybe you’ll just write a few this month while you put in some more research time.

You’ll get down to the serious business of writing next month or the month after. Once you’ve found the secret it will all become so much easier.

Personally, I model myself on the successful writers here. I did some research I think I found the answer to their secret. I know what they all do to achieve such great success. They’ve kept it well hidden, but I still managed to find it.
